Modern Family Fan Appreciation Day: I say MO and you say FY–MOFY!

I have mentioned a number of times my love for the show Modern Family and how happy I am to be a part of the MOFY Nation fan community. It’s great to be able to interact with other fans, learn about other people’s view of modern families and feel connected. Modern Family and MOFY (it stands for Make Our Family Yours) is hosting a celebratory event for fans in Los Angeles on October 28th and I’m thrilled to tell you I’m going to attend. And I’m thrilled to tell you that if you can’t, you can still get in on the fun.

The Modern Family Fan Appreciation Day will be held at the Regency Village Theatre on Monday. It’s going to be quite an affair–with red carpet and all. Modern Family fans had the opportunity to enter to win tickets to the event while will include live interviews, a table read of a fan-chosen favorite episode, and a Q&A session to answer questions fans offer up via social media.

Most importantly, you will be able show your MOFY allegiance from home. MOFY Nation is asking fans to upload testimonials about what the show means to their family, play along with the live sync game and watch via live streaming. Your video might be shown on USA Network and you might win some cool prizes.

Actually, every weeknight you have the chance to win prizes while you watch, play along and interact on the MOFY Nation’s Facebook and Twitter pages. You can watch the hashtags #MOFY, #ModernFamily (and #TGIMF on Fridays) show up all over Twitter. It’s kind of cool.

Even cooler is that I’ll be live Tweeting and Facebooking (is that a word?) from the Modern Family Fan Appreciation Day event starting late Monday afternoon. Follow me at @AmandaMorin or Like my Facebook page to keep track of what’s going on. I want to know what you want to see, want to hear and want to know, so give me a shout-out.
